How we check
All GlanceDesk companies · last updated 26 October 2026
In short: every answer on a GlanceDesk site shows its working. You see the formula or the rule, a worked example, the official source it comes from and the date we last checked it. If any of these is missing, treat it as a fault and tell us.
Where our rules come from
- Official texts only. Tax rates, deadlines, penalties and legal duties come from the law itself or from the body that publishes it: a government, a tax authority, a regulator or an official gazette. Exchange formulas on GlanceDesk Crypto come from the exchange's own documentation.
- Law over guidance. When an official guide and the law disagree, we follow the law and say so on the page.
- Nothing assumed. If we cannot reach or confirm an official text, the tool says Being verified instead of guessing.
What every answer shows
- The result, with its unit or currency.
- The formula or rule used, and the inputs and assumptions behind it.
- A worked example you can follow by hand.
- A link to the official source, and the date we last checked it.
- A clear label when a figure is an estimate. Where the law can be read two ways, a penalty or deadline tool never shows the lower figure as the estimate.
Before anything goes live
- Every calculator and checker has written test cases, worked by hand from the official text or standard. A change that breaks any test does not ship.
- Every page is checked on phone, tablet and desktop, in light and dark mode, and in each language we offer.
- Each change is reviewed and approved by the owner of GlanceDesk before it is published.
- On GlanceDesk Jurisdiction, a law page cannot be published without an official source or once its last check is too old.
Keeping answers current
Rules change: budgets, circulars, ministerial decisions. We watch the official sources behind our tools and update a tool when its rule changes. The last-checked date on each page tells you how fresh it is.
Where the maths happens
On our websites, calculations run in your own browser; the values you type are not sent to us. Our AI connector (glancedesk.com/mcp) is different: an AI assistant sends the values to our server to work out one answer, and we do not log or store them. Details are on the Privacy page.
Languages
English is the reference version of every page. Urdu, Arabic and other languages use standard Google wording, and legal and tax terms come from the official texts. If a translation reads wrongly, tell us and we fix it.
What we are not
GlanceDesk gives information, not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. For a decision that matters, check with a qualified adviser.
Found a mistake?
Email support@glancedesk.com with the page address and what looks wrong. We check it against the official source, fix it if we were wrong, and list the fix on our Corrections page.
What happens next:
- We aim to reply within two working days.
- If we confirm that an answer is wrong, we fix it or mark the tool Being verified within one working day of confirming it, so it does not keep giving the wrong figure while we work on the fix.
- The page's change log and our Corrections page say what was wrong, since when, and when it was fixed.
We also check every site, every redirect and the AI connector automatically many times a day, so an outage is found even if nobody reports it.
